BLYTHEWOOD — Christian Assistance Bridge (CAB) has issued a call for donations to meet the growing needs of families in the Blythewood, Ridgeway, and northeast Richland County areas.
The organization, which has provided crisis assistance since 2013, announced it is currently “running low” on several pantry staples.
CAB is currently open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays, Thursdays, and the first three Tuesdays of every month.
Most needed donations currently include:
- Pantry Staples: Macaroni and cheese, rice, peanut butter, jelly, pancake mix, and syrup.
- Canned Goods: Fruit, peas, mixed vegetables, diced tomatoes, baked beans, black-eyed peas, butter beans, kidney beans, and carrots.
Donations can be dropped off at the pantry during operating hours.
In addition to food, CAB provides financial assistance to families facing crises such as eviction, utility cut-offs, or homelessness. For those seeking financial help during Tuesday hours, the organization asks that clients arrive before 12:10 p.m. to allow time for processing.
In addition to immediate aid, the organization works to help clients reach self-sufficiency through budget creation, job search support, and resume reviews.
