WINNSBORO – The results for Fairfield County Council are in. With a 71.28% turnout of registered voters, Don Goldbach (Dist. 2) bested Ann Corrao and incumbent Shirley Greene. Carl Bell defeated incumbent Tim Roseborough for the Dist. 4 seat. Oren Gadson won the Dist. 6 seat over challenger Sarah Bryant.
About 20 provisional votes have not yet been counted. Voter registration officials said 11 of those were out of the Dutchman’s Creek precinct in Dist. 2 where Don Goldbach bested Ann Corrao by 10 votes. Three provisional votes were cast in Monticello precinct where Carl Bell won 669 votes defeating incumbent Tim Roseborough’s 492 votes …a 177 vote difference.
The provisional votes will be decided Friday morning at 10 at the Fairfield County Voter Registration and Election office.
