Eagles win, honor breast cancer survivors

WINNSBORO – Richard Winn volleyball held a Pink Out match on Tuesday in honor of Breast Cancer survivors. Keleigh Hughes, pictured back center in pink, was a guest of honor. The team also recognized opposing coach Travis Gilliam, also a breast cancer survivor.

The Eagles swept Newberry with a quick 3-0 final. They took the first two sets by 25-12 margins and closed out the match with a 25-14 final. The win moves them to 6-4 on the season with two games remaining before SCISA playoffs.

They host Laurens Academy tonight and will play Cambridge Academy on Monday in Winnsboro.
