RIDGEWAY – Gregory Scott has been named the principal of Geiger Elementary School, according to a statement from Fairfield County School Superintendent Dr. Tony Hemingway.
“Mr. Scott joins the Geiger family with a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership in education,” Hemingway said.
Scott served as the assistant principal at Bethel-Hanberry Elementary School in Richland 2, where he significantly contributed to enhancing student outcomes and, importantly, cultivating a supportive environment for both students and educators. His experience in fostering a positive school culture instills confidence in his ability to do the same at Geiger Elementary, Hemingway said.
Prior to his role at Bethel-Hanberry Elementary, Mr. Scott taught fifth-grade math at Forest Lake Elementary, where he spearheaded initiatives like the Golden Eagles mentorship program, which empowered young students to become leaders within their school community.
“This success instills hope for the future of student leadership at Geiger Elementary,” Hemingway said. “We are confident that Mr. Scott’s leadership will continue to uphold Geiger Elementary School’s commitment to excellence in education.”
