LANDRUM – Earning a 2-seed in the SCHSL 2A District 2 bracket, Fairfield Central dropped its first round game to Landrum on Tuesday.
Fairfield managed only three hits, including a double from Jonathan Warren, in the 9-1 loss to the Cardinals.
The loss drops Fairfield (14-4) into the elimination bracket, where they’ll face four-seeded Pelion today in Winnsboro. The winner stay alive to play the loser of Landrum/Mid-Carolina on Saturday.
