BLYTHEWOOD – Blythewood Rotary will hold a 5K and half marathon in Blythewood on Saturday, Jan. 7. The runs begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, when the roads will be blocked to traffic. They will reopen as the last runner comes through. Both runs will start and finish in Doko Meadows Park.
Pictured above is the half marathon map. It will turn left out of the park to Sandfield Road and continue to N. Melton Rd before returning to take a right on McLean Rd. Runners will turn left on Main St. and right at Oakhurst Rd. After a left turn onto Boney Rd., runners will continue right onto McNulty before turning right Blythewood Rd. and then left to Community Rd. They will turn left onto Wilson Bld. and then right onto Langford Rd. before reentering Doko Meadows.
The 5K, pictured below, runs a similar route. The most notable change is that 5K runners will take a left on Blythewood Rd., and then right to McLean Rd. to reenter Doko Meadows.
