Sherry and David Walden of Lake Wateree hosted an invitation only fundraiser for the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation at their Catawba Falls Events in Lancaster on Friday evening, Nov. 1. Seventy-five guests enjoyed, hors d’oeuvre, libations and an evening with the “generosity bug.”
Protecting the source of clean drinking water, recreation, habitat, economic development and preserving the lake for the future were discussed. Amenities that are coming to the southern basin of the Catawba River were shared by speakers and on display boards.
On behalf of the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation Board, I would like to thank the Lake Wateree Committee that worked so diligently to organize the event.
