BLYTHEWOOD – Micah Benjamin Meisner, age 20, died Tuesday, May 15, 2018. He was born in Columbia, South Carolina, a son of Grant Rolland and Rhonda Lewis Meisner. He was an honor graduate of Ben Lippen School where he was on the cross country and tennis teams. Micah also sang and played guitar in the school choir. He was identified as gifted and talented by Duke University TIPS and received a scholarship to attend the University of South Carolina. Micah was most recently attending courses to become a licensed real estate agent.
In addition to his parents of Blythewood, Micah is survived by his brothers, Austin, Joshua, and Adam; maternal grandmother, Edna Burdette; paternal grandmother, Margaret Meisner; maternal great grandmother, Virginia Burdette Betz; as well as a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and church family.
A service was held Saturday, May 19 at Sandy Level Baptist Church with The Rev. Chris Hanley, Dr. E. Benjamin Newman, Jr., and The Rev. Josh Goza officiating. The family received friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
