COLUMBIA – It was a glamorous evening in the garden at Woodley’s Garden Center last week when members of The Hoof & Paw Benevolent Society and several of their costumed canine friends hosted hundreds of animal advocates who generously opened their pocket books and wallets in support of a better life for all animals with hooves and paws.
The event took place throughout the gardens with a never ending buffet of food, a silent auction and a number of pets wearing Halloween costumes.
And at the end of the evening, when the donations and purchases were tallied, Hoof and Paw president Deborah Richelle happily announced that the group had brought in more than $11,000.
“And it’s all for the animals,” Richelle said, thanking everyone for their generosity.
