WINNSBORO – The big show – Rock Around the Clock – will be happening in downtown Winnsboro this Friday night and all day Saturday with lots of new entertainment, music, food and dancing, dancing, dancing.
The colorful Carolina Country Dancers will set Friday evening on its ear with entertaining dance performances including doubles line dancing. Next will be The Fantastic Shakers (Friday, 8 – 11 p.m.), Susan Taylor Trio, (Saturday, 11:30 a.m.), Sam Cornelius and the Vibrations band (Saturday, 1:20 – 2:15 p.m.) and more.
New also this year will be an aerial trapeze act on the main stage (Friday, 2:30 p.m.)
If you’re looking for something that is just too cute, catch the Majestic Academy’s 3 and 4 year olds performing their Rock Around the Clock routine on the main stage (Friday, 11:10 – 11:25 p.m.)
Students from Fairfield Central High School and other schools in the District will show off their best dance and choral performances, also on the main stage (Friday, 10 – 11 a.m.)
Also new this year will be a food truck court including Road Runner.
For the kids there’ll be new children’s amusements including The Big Red Chair and the Wind Man (bring your cameras), face painting and hula hoops all day Saturday.
Look for the High Speed Ball game to test your throwing speed and the Sheriff’s exhibit that features a DUI/speed simulator.
