I believe the mayor of Ridgeway and the town council generally do an overall good job.
However, the “doggie dust up” (The Voice 7/6/17) is an example of local government at its worst . The Mayor seems to be wasting valuable town resources and giving the town a black eye over a very petty conflict. How do you win in the public eye by opposing a service dog who is in an appropriate setting? Meanwhile, some council members seem to be hiding from this fracas by avoiding certain meetings.
Come on, Ridgeway leaders… get out of the muck and fairly resolve this distraction. Move on to real town business. You all are too good not to.
