BLYTHEWOOD – Former Bengal standout quarterback Jordyn Adams made the choice Monday night to take his talents to the University of North Carolina, after choosing UNC over Clemson. Adams’ father, Deke, is an assistant coach at North Carolina.
Adams excelled on the diamond and the gridiron for the Bengals, but after last season he transferred to Green Hope High School in Cary North Carolina to be closer to his father, an assistant at East Carolina at the time.
Scout.com has Adams listed as the 121 best prospect in the 2018 class, the 22 best receiver in the country and the number one receiver in the state of North Carolina. According to 247 Sports, Adams is the No.6 overall recruit from North Carolina.
The 6-foot-2,175 pounder made his decision from Nike’s “The Opening” in Oregon and the announcement aired on the NFL Network. Adams also announced his decision via his personal twitter account.
This is not the first time the name Jordyn Adams has made waves in national sports headlines. Last August, a vicious Adams dunk went viral and garnered press from several national outlets including the NY Daily News, Complex Sports and made it to No.4 on the ESPN Sports Center Top 10.
