Clearly our Republican state legislators have neither the skill nor the will to remedy our third world road crisis. Furthermore, common sense remedies such as a limited gas tax increase and reforming the three dysfunctional road-related agencies seem to be forever beyond the Republicans’ grasp.
It is time to move on from the impossible to the Plan 9 iniative .The first phase of Plan 9 will provide all citizens with a $30,000 tax rebate to put towards the purchase of an off road vehicle. This rebate would assist all to secure a more appropriate and safer vehicle in which to navigate our rugged roads.
Additionally, Plan 9 would incorporate the use of roadside signs which warn travelers to go around our state to avoid car punishing and unsafe roads. This rerouting will decrease further wear and tear on our roads.
Does Plan 9 sound like science fiction? You bet it does. Plan 9, however, is still much more grounded than the Republican legislators who have made zippo progress on a viable (or any) road crisis amelioration! Their failures are not science fiction but they are Unbelievable!
