RICHLAND COUNTY — The Richland County Recreation Commission (RCRC) is expanding its athletic catalog this fall, introducing several new sports alongside its traditional lineup of youth and adult programs.
Registration for the fall season is currently open and will run through Aug. 17.
Inaugural Seasons
- Boys volleyball (ages 7–15)
- Boys and girls lacrosse (ages 7–14)
- 6v6 lacrosse for high school boys in grades 8–12.
- Cross country (ages 6–17)
- Wrestling, to be hosted at the American Leadership Academy (ALA Blythewood), with meets scheduled to run from Dec, through mid-Feb.
- Tackle Football (ages 9–12)
Returning Programs
- Youth Cheer – extended to a 20-week schedule,
- Flag Football: co-ed (ages 4–6), boys (ages 7–15), and girls (ages 7–15) divisions.
- Baseball and T-Ball (ages 4–12)
- Girls Volleyball: (ages 7–15)
- Futsal (ages 3–8)
- Basketball: Co-ed youth leagues for ages 4–8.
Adult athletes can also get on the court and field this fall. Registration is open through Aug. 31 for Men’s Adult Basketball, as well as Men’s and Co-ed Adult Softball leagues.
