Home Grown on the Farm to host June 13 Fairfield Farmers Market

FAIRFIELD COUNTY — The Fairfield Farmers and Artisans Market returns to the farm this month, with two June dates that bring local produce and handmade goods directly to the countryside.

Home Grown on the Farm, located at 2500 Old Douglas Road in Winnsboro, will host the June 13 market.  Shop for local goods from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and enjoy food from The Lunch Bucket.

Home Grown on the Farm is also open to the public Monday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. The farm offers a variety of seasonal staples, including locally grown yellow squash and zucchini for $1.50 a pound, cucumbers at two for $1, farm-fresh eggs for $4 a dozen and pint jars of Blythewood Bee Company honey for $11.

On Saturday, June 27, the market will move to the Blair area. Hosted at Gypsy Wind Farms, located at 3005 Buckhead Road, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., O’Cain BBQ is scheduled to be on site for the day.

The market series is sponsored by the Fairfield County Farm Bureau, the Branham family, and several local businesses including Boxwoods Cooking with Fresh Herbs and Winnsboro Pecans. The rotating locations are designed to highlight different agricultural spots across the county while connecting residents with local artisans and growers.
