Celebrate 250th anniversary of America at the Blythewood Farmers Market

BLYTHEWOOD – The Blythewood Farmers’ Market is partnering with the Town of Blythewood for a special market celebration of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.

The event will be held during market hours, from 4-7 p.m., on Wednesday, July 1.

There will be live music – guitarist Sadie Belle and the Chris Reed and the Bad Kids band – bouncy houses, 250 free kids’ desserts and goodie bags, as well as about 40 vendors offering fresh local market foods, baked goods, art, jewelry, plants, sun hats, toys, gifts, handmade crafts, and more.

Food Trucks will include the Cox Family Barbecue, Relaxin’ Heffer ice cream, and T & J Italian Ice.

Vendors will offer many summertime foods including local watermelon, bratwurst for the grill and other picnic supplies.

“It’s going to be a very special market day with many wonderful items for sale,” said Market Manager Michaela Barno. “And we hope the community will celebrate the 250th anniversary at the market.”
