BLYTHEWOOD – The Westwood baseball team (4-10-1, 3-6 Region 5-5A) fell 14-4 in six innings to Lugoff-Elgin Thursday, and 13-2 in six innings at West Florence Tuesday.
Against the Demons, Austin Jeffcoat and Blaize Owen both went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Nathan Caldwell also doubled.
Against the Knights, Austin Jeffcoat, Kaden Ragins, and Zachary Nelson all hit doubles. Jeffcoat was the team’s only multi-hitter, going 2-for-3.
Westwood softball fell 13-5 to Lugoff-Elgin Thursday. Reagan Remia went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Annarea Weston was also 3-for-4. Jordan Hamett had two hits and Madison Belton had a 2-run double.
At West Florence (17-1, 9-0) Tuesday, Knights ace pitcher Annie Eliason no-hit the Redhawks and struck out 11 over four innings in a 10-0 victory in five innings.
Westwood baseball and softball plays host to West Florence Thursday and travels to Sumter Tuesday.
