Westwood faces Gray in preseason battle

Westwood football fell to Gray Collegiate Academy last Friday in the Aun & McKay Football Classic. Gray topped the Redhawks 28 to 6. Westwood’s Jeremiah Jennings (8), pictured above, was named Defensive MVP of the game.  Westwood opens their season Friday at Ridge View. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

Redhawks Back in Action

HOPKINS – Westwood football competed in Lower Richland’s 7-on-7 shootout on July 1. The Redhawks faced Timberland and Irmo in day two of the shootout. Westwood is slated to open the 2021 season at Ridge View on Aug. 20.

Wings to Wolves

BLYTHEWOOD – Westwood offensive lineman Lance Wilson officially committed to play football at Newberry College earlier this month. In a statement on Twitter, Wilson said that playing college football has always been his dream, and his coaches at Westwood High School helped open that door for him.
