Griffins fall to Woodruff

WINNSBORO – Griffin Volleyball wrapped up the season last Thursday in the first round of the 3A volleyball playoffs. Fairfield faced top-seeded Woodruff in the first round. The Wolverines bested the Griffins in straight sets, 25-5, 25-6 and 25-12, to take the 3-0 win and advance to the next round.

Griffins tennis ends season

WINNSBORO – Fairfield Central Tennis hosted a tough Union County team in the first round of the 3A State Playoffs last Thursday. Fairfield, a two-seed, fell to Union 5-1 in the match to eliminate the Griffins from playoff contention. Union advanced to face top-seeded Chapman High School.
