Roach named region Athletic Director of Year

WINNSBORO – Griffin Athletic Director Terrell Roach was recently named Region 4 Athletic Director of the Year by the South Carolina Athletic Administration Association. Roach heads the athletic department at Fairfield Central, which fields teams in football, cheer, cross country, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball, soccer, and track and field.

Griffins Achieve

Griffins Challenge

WINNSBORO – Competing virtually has not stopped Fairfield Central’s Academic Challenge team from excelling. In January, the team defeated Chester 15-7 and Lewisville 15-14. Most recently, the Griffins took a 18-16 victory over Great Falls.

Mighty Griffins

WINNSBORO – Fairfield Central’s Mighty Griffin Battalion JROTC program competed in the JROTC Academic Bowl. The JROTC Academic Bowl tests cadets on their knowledge by using SAT/ACT-type questions in the areas of JROTC curriculum, English, math and science. The Griffins advanced to the Level 2 of the competition, to be held March 4.
