A large crowd of old and new friends and art lovers were in attendance Tuesday evening for an art reception and dessert buffet featuring Blythewood artist Harold Branham’s newest series of work. The event was held in the Shives Gallery of Doko Manor.
The series of paintings titled ‘A Year on the River’ included 12 pieces of original artwork depicting 12 different locations on Lake Wateree. All 12 paintings were on display.
The 12 paintings were also featured on a calendar that was available for purchase.
“I call the calendar, ‘art on the wall.’
There are no holidays on the calendar…just the month, days and dates,” Branham said.
The 12 paintings were a seven-year project, Branham said. The prints are for sale, and prices vary depending on the print.
The event was hosted by Bravo Blythewood. For more information about purchasing the prints, call Branham at 803-348-7773.
