WINNSBORO – Pine Tree Playhouse has announced its spring show, “The Importance of Being Earnest,” directed by Trace Swann and assisted by Lisa Cathcart.

Step into a world of wit, deception, and the pursuit of love in Oscar Wilde’s timeless comedy, The Importance of Being Earnest.

“Set against the backdrop of Victorian society, this dazzling play unravels the lives of two charming bachelors who lead double lives to escape their mundane realities,” Swann said. “As mistaken identities and romantic entanglements collide, the characters navigate the absurdities of social conventions and the true nature of earnestness.”

Prepare for an exploration of truth, hypocrisy, and the lengths one will go to for love, all wrapped in Wilde’s signature sharp humor and clever dialogue.

Will they find happiness, or will their secrets unravel in the most unexpected ways? Discover this classic tale where being earnest might just be the greatest challenge of all.

Tickets are $15.00 and available now at www.pinetreeplayhouse.com/shows. Show dates are April 4, 5, 11, and 12 at 8 p.m. and April 6 and 13 at 3 p.m.
