Westwood closes out postseason with road loss at Berkeley

MONCKS CORNER—The Westwood football team, fresh from its first playoff win in several years, fell 36-0 to Berkeley in the second round of the 5A Division 2 playoffs.

Stags sophomore quarterback Henry Rivers completed 10 of 11 passes for 166 yards and three touchdowns. Senior Kayden Bash had wight catches for 84 yards and two scores. Jvaariez  Sumpter had two catches for 82 yards and a score. 

Berkeley also rushed 33 times for 256 yards and two scores.

The Stags (6-5) plays host to White Knoll Friday in the third round. The Timberwolves (7-5) notched a second-round 39-14 victory at Myrtle Beach last week.

Westwood finishes the season 6-6.
