SPARTANBURG – Blythewood High School’s boys’ volleyball team ended their inaugural season with a 3-0 playoff loss to defending 5A state champion Dorman.
Blythewood (No.4) faced Byrnes (No. 4) to open the playoffs on Oct. 30. It was another night that the Bengals made history, taking their first program playoff win with a 3-1final.
They advanced to face a tough Dorman squad, who had a first round bye, on Nov. 2.
Dorman (24-0, 10-0) easily handled the Bengals in the first set, taking a 25-9 win. Blythewood made them battle for the win in set two, but Dorman won 25-18. They took set three with a 25-11 win.
The Bengals end with a 17-5 overall record, 9-4 in the region.
