Applications open for A-Tax, H-Tax grants

WINNSBORO — Fairfield County is now accepting Accommodations Tax (A-Tax) and Hospitality Tax (H-Tax) grant applications for the 2024/2025 funding cycle.

The grant is open to non-profit organizations for expenses directly in support of one of the six purposes of hospitality tax funding under S.C. Code 6-1-730:   

  1. Tourism-related buildings, including, but not limited to: civic centers, coliseums, and aquariums; and/or
  2. Tourism-related cultural, recreational, and historic facilities; and/or 
  3. Beach access and re-nourishment; and/or
  4. Highways, roads, streets, and bridges providing access to tourist destinations; and/or
  5. Advertising and promotions related to the development of tourism; and/or 
  6. Water and sewer infrastructure to serve tourism-related demand.

Interested applicants can download the Accommodations/Hospitality Tax Guidelines by going to the county’s website: Fairfieldsc.com. Completed applications for funds must be emailed to Interim County Administrator Clay Killian, clay.killian@fairfield.sc.gov. by 5 p.m., Dec. 2, 2024.
