Vickie Boulware Robinson, 78, of Winnsboro passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. Born in Winnsboro, she was the daughter of the late William Jason and Burnidene Baggott Boulware, Sr.
In addition to her parents, Vickie is predeceased by her husband, Marion Burgess Robinson; brother, William Jason Boulware, Jr. and nephews, Billy and Bobby Boulware. She is survived by daughter, Gina Robinson Shearer (Todd); and son, Jason Blair Robinson (Kristen); grandchildren, Jordan Shearer Dobrucky (Tanner), Jamie Shearer and Julia Shearer and step-grandson, Landon Byrum; sisters, Rennie Lord and Susan Robinson (Mike), sisters-in-law Anne B. Robinson and Wanda Boulware; nephews Scott, Michael (Hayley), Mackenzie (Emily), Lester Robinson and Lisa Carver (Calvin).
Vickie obtained her B.S. from Winthrop University with graduate studies at the University of South Carolina and Columbia College. She was a loyal member of First United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and held various offices. She taught for over 40 years in Camden, Columbia, Richard Winn Academy and Montessori school. Vickie worked part-time as a travel agent with Forest Lake Travel. Besides travelling throughout the United States and Canada with her family and friends, Vickie loved to travel to Europe with French students. She enjoyed planning and directing hundreds of weddings, playing bridge, painting and music.
Vickie was a founding member of the Pine Tree Players Community Theater, former member of Winnsboro Music Study Club, Winnsboro Choral Society, Fairfield Community Singers and the Tuesday Bridge Club.
She also served several years on the Red Cross Board, and the Disabilities and Special Needs Board
A memorial Service will be Saturday, October 26, 2024, at First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro at 11:00 Am. The family will receive friends for a reception following the service in the church fellowship hall.
