WINNSBORO – Fairfield Central boys’ cross country team finished third out of six teams at their Region 3-2A meet on Oct. 26 at Clinton High School.
Sidney Wilson was the top finisher for Fairfield. He clocked in at 20:20.20 for 15th place out of 68 runners. Krishi Patel followed with his season-best 21:12 for 22nd place. Brenton Mack finished 30th at 22:34; Jarari Johnson followed at 23:09.00 for 35th place, and Khalen Feaster finished at 25:19 for 45th place.
The Griffins did not have any girls compete in the meet.
Midlands STEM
Midlands STEM Charter School’s cross country team ran in the 1A Region 2 meet at Great Falls on Oct. 29.
The boys’ team finished in sixth place out of seven teams, 10 points ahead of Lewisville High School. Riverwalk Academy claimed first place. The girls’ team did not qualify a score as only one runner competed.
Christopher Parker was the Mavericks’ top finisher on the day. He placed 20th out of 72 runners with a time of 24:03.22. Demond Wilson followed in 24th place at 24:45.72. Leahman Knotts finished at 29:45.29. Flynn Berry clocked in at 32:25.94, and Robert Pierce finished at 34:07.28. Kai Thompson, the lone female for the Mavericks, finished with a time of 43:58.01.
