BLYTHEWOOD – Larry Sharpe’s sprawling wedding venue, The Farm, located between Ridgeway and Blythewood on Highway 21, now has what many of today’s wedding venues lack – a charming white wedding chapel.
The simple sanctuary, which will seat 200, features giant wrought iron chandeliers, elegant 14-foot tall cathedral windows, and 43 feet of glass accordion Nana doors that span each of the side walls of the chapel giving full visual access to the bucolic views beyond the building. A landscaped pond is on one side of the chapel and an orchard and flowering trees and shrubs on the other side.
Topped off with an old fashioned cupola with a traditional church bell, the chapel was finished last week just days before one of Sharpe’s granddaughters was married there.
