Winning artists named in ‘Still Life’ show

WINNSBORO – The Rectory at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 203 Garden St., hosted the Fairfield County Arts Council’s opening reception for the juried show “Still Life” on Friday, Sept. 13.

Award winning artist Tonie Elkins judged the show.

Winning entries included: 1st Place, Jenifer Conaway for “Very Still Life” model of her studio; 2ndPlace, Noelle Brault for “Autumn Bloom;” and 3rd Place, Renea Eshleman for “Birds of Paradise.” 

Honorable Mentions went to Kelley Lannigan for “The Artist Studio;” Barbara Yongue for “Joyous;” and Ginny Stonehouse for “A Vase of Flowers.”

Over 50 people attended the event including guests from Columbia and Camden.

The Fairfield County Arts Council’s quarterly shows provide the community an opportunity to discover new artists, visit with artists and enjoy catching up with neighbors.

The Rectory at St. John’s Episcopal Church now serves as a venue to bring artists, musicians and writers together to share and explore their gifts with the community.
