WINNSBORO – Following a tough 3-0 loss to Laurens Academy, Richard Winn’s volleyball team is officially back in the win column.
Back at home on Tuesday, the Eagles dominated Anderson Christian from first serve, taking a 25-9 final in the first set. They won the next two with 25-16 and 25-18 finals to move to 3-2 on the season.
Last week’s loss to Laurens was a tough one with 25-10, 25-14, and 25-11 finals. Laurens, which won SCISA A state championships in 2022 and 2023, recently moved to AA in the SCISA realignment; the Eagles remain in A.
RWA was scheduled to host Cambridge Academy tonight, but the game was rescheduled to Monday, Sept. 17 in a school-wide move for anticipated weather conditions.
Following Monday’s game, they will host King Academy for their second meeting of the season. Last time the two faced off, the Eagles came away with a 3-2 win.
