BLYTHEWOOD – The South Carolina Women’s Open returned to Cobblestone Park Golf Course in Blythewood last Thursday for a four-day event, starting with the Pro-Am on Aug. 29.
Teams of four amateurs joined a professional golfer to compete on Thursday.
Senior professionals and amateurs played rounds on Aug. 30 and Aug. 31. Open amateurs and professionals competed Aug. 30 – Sept. 1.
Professional Division
Jordan Britt from Ridgeland, SC finished at +9 and earning the top spot in the pro division.
Tied for second, Ulrika Ljungman from Port Orange, FL, and Ashlan Ramsey from Greenville, SC, each finishing with a score of 152. Gracyn Burgess from Chapin rounded out the top four, finishing at +20.
Amateur Division
Jessica Edwards from Moore, SC, claimed the top spot with a total score of 232. Alexandra Natale from Ambler, PA, secured second place with a total score of 238.
Senior Divisions
In the Senior Pro division, Yvonne Cox-Holmes from Cumming, GA, claimed the top spot, finishing 10-under with rounds of 64 and 68. Moira Dunn-Bohls of Palm Harbor, FL, secured second place with an impressive 8-under, followed closely by Leta Lindley from Palm Beach Gardens, FL, at 7-under.
The Senior Amateur division culminated in a playoff where Lea Venable of Simpsonville, SC, emerged victorious over Pam Prescott from Piedmont, SC. Both finished at +9, showcasing their skill and determination. Kimberly Perry from Lancaster, SC, and Catherine Shealy from Blythewood, SC, tied for third place.
