BHS volleyball opens inaugural season at home

BLYTHEWOOD – Blythewood High School’s boys’ volleyball program will open its inaugural season at home with a tri-match against AC Flora and Sumter on Monday, Aug. 26. The match, which begins at 6 p.m., will be the first regular season match in school history. 

The boys’ team has been busy in preseason, going 4-0 against AC Flora, West Florence, Sumter, and Airport.

The Bengals defeated Flora 3-1. After losing the first set 10-25, they bounced back to take the next three sets 25-7, 25-21 and 25-20.

Blythewood defeated West Florence 2-0 with 25-11 and 25-14 finals.

Next, they took down Sumter 2-0, dominating with 25-5 and 25-14 scores.

In their final preseason match, they defeated Airport 3-0 with 25-7, 25-8 and 25-13 finals.
