CAYCE – Blythewood Tennis returned to the court to begin their 2024 campaign over the weekend at the Third Annual Team-KK Kathryn Kleckley Tennis Tournament at the Cayce Tennis Center.
After beating Heathwood Hall on Friday and South Aiken Saturday morning, the Bengals defeated Gray Collegiate 4-2 in the semi-final round of the Gold bracket.
Blythewood faced a tough Lexington squad in the finals on Sunday. They fell with a 4-2 final, finishing second out of 12 teams.
Blythewood opens regular season play with a three-match week next week. They will host Ben Lippen on Monday, then travel to Brookland-Cayce on Tuesday and finish the week at River Bluff on Thursday.
