BLYTHEWOOD – More than a hundred friends, family, and congregants of Calvary Independent Baptist Church gathered at Purity Lodge in Ridgeway on Saturday to honor Rev. Patrick Bryant, the church’s pastor and his wife and First Lady Christanny Bryant.
The occasion was the Pastor’s eighth anniversary at Calvary. Organized by Della Waden and Jamie Buffort, the event included words of encouragement by Rev. Jameson of Brooklyn Baptist Church and pastors and their wives from several surrounding churches. A number of congregants made comments, praising the Bryants’ work and thanking them for their service to the church.
Also in attendance was the Mother of the Church, 102-year-old Naomi Waden. Lunch was served and a gift was presented to the Bryants from the congregation. Calvary Independent Church, located at 716 Sandfield Road in Blythewood, was dedicated in 2003.
