COLUMBIA – Richard Winn racked up 19 hits in their 21-2 blowout of the PAC Panthers, a homeschool squad, on Tuesday.
Owen Martin led the way, batting 3-5 with a double, a triple and five runs batted in. Anthony Armstrong, and Turner Burchell also had three hits and three RBI on the day. Miller Stuck, Charlie Bonds, Bennett Nicholson and Ethan Steward also collected multiple hits for the Eagles.
Armstrong earned the win. He gave up four hits and two runs (both unearned) in five innings from the mound. He struck out eight.
The win puts the Eagles at 16-2 on the season, following a 4-2 win over Great Falls on Monday. Last week, the Eagles downed King Academy 11-1 and Newberry Academy 15-1 in region contests to claim the Region title.
Up next, the Eagles look to defend their 2023 SCISA 1A State Title. They await SCISA’s bracket release, but playoffs are set to begin Monday, April 29. The Eagles seeding should set them to host their first game.
