BLYTHEWOOD – The Blythewood softball team (11-2, 4-1) defeated Region 3-5A opponent Fort Mill 19-3 in four innings Thursday, then won three other games in a tournament in Aiken Saturday.
The Bengals offense kept on churning as they defeated Fox Creek 12-4, then beat Pelion twice, 9-8 and 11-4.
In 12 at-bats over the past four games, Josie Smythe had eight hits, including four home runs, a triple, and 12 RBI.
In 13 at-bats over those games, Neilah Browne had eight hits, including a double, and 7 RBI.
Maya Van Zyl had two doubles, a triple, a home run, and 6 RBI in seven at-bats over that 4-game stretch.
Blythewood, in the midst of a 6-game winning streak, takes the field again April 9 at Nation Ford to open the final stretch of the regular season.
