LEXINGTON – Upon return from Spring Break, Blythewood’s girls lacrosse team dropped a non-conference game to Lexington on Monday.
Sophomores Elli Nels and Lucy Campbell had the team’s only goals. Nels had one assist. Junior Abby Ely had 10 saves in 32 shots on goal.
The loss drops Blythewood to 5-10 on the season.
They defeated Spring Valley on March 28 by a 14-3 margin. Nels (5), Kamira Dennis (2), Mollie Turner (2) Anna Swindler (2), Amber Murphy (1), Lucy Campbell (1) and Addison Sussman (1) combined for 14 goals in the conference win.
Reece Campbell had a team-high five ground balls. Nels picked up three. Ely had five saves in 8 shots on goal.
The Bengals await seeding for the 5A SCHSL tournament, which starts April 17.
