SUMTER – Four Richard Winn basketball seniors received SCISA All-Star honors in the post-season.
Meagan Brigman, Drew Spires, Miller Stuck and Delaney Young, who all received All-Region honors for SCISA 1A Region IV.
Brigman, Spires, Stuck and Young played in their respective games at Wilson Hall on March 2.
In ten region games played, Brigman averaged 10.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.7 blocks, 1.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game. Young averaged 7.1 points, 6 rebounds, 3.3 blocks, 2.6 steals and 2.5 assists.
Spires, named Region Player of the Year, averaged 19.1 points, 2 steals, 1.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game in 14 region games played. In 15 games played, Stuck averaged 10.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.
The boys’ team finished with a 23-2 record; girls were 10-8.
Boys’ head coach Nick Chaisson coached the 1A North boys’ team. Chaisson was named Region Coach of the Year.
