RED BANK – The Westwood football team traveled to Red Bank Friday night and ran headlong into Landon Sharpe and White Knoll.
Sharpe passed for 263 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another score as the Timberwolves closed out a 54-7 win over the Redhawks.
C.J. Earl had five catches for 130 yards and a touchdown for White Knoll (3-0).
Looking for their second win of the season, Westwood (1-3) plays host to Midland Valley on Friday.
In the 2022 season, Westwood’s 41-19 win over Midland Valley was their first of the season.
Midland Valley currently sits at 4-0 on the season with wins over Grovetown (GA) (35-21), Strom Thurmond (21-16), Silver Bluff (21-7) and Harlem (GA) (42-35).
Midland Valley will be Westwood’s final non-region game of the regular season. After a bye week, the Redhawks open conference play on Sept. 29 at A.C. Flora. They’ll also face Lugoff-Elgin (home on Oct. 6), Ridge View (away on Oct. 13), Irmo (home on Oct. 20) and Richland Northeast (home on Oct. 27).
