BLYTHEWOOD – Muller Road Middle School’s PTO partnered with Power of Purpose for their annual schoolwide fundraiser. According to its website, Power of Purpose’s ‘Step it Up!’ is an experience-based fundraiser that celebrates friendship, fitness and fun. Students get to experience an interactive field day called Day of Awesomeness.
Students at Muller Road had their Day of Awesomeness earlier this month. The final touch on the school’s fundraiser was the fulfillment of a promise made by Dr. Brandon Ross, principal of Muller Road.
To encourage students to participate in the fundraiser, Ross agreed to kiss a horse if they surpassed the $65,000 goal of the fundraiser. Ross fulfilled that promise outside of Muller Road Middle on Tuesday afternoon.
Ross credited the school’s fundraising expertise to the PTO.
“We passed our goal immensely,” he said, “truly due to the dedication and support of our PTO.”
