LUGOFF – Lugoff-Elgin scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning and that was all the Demons needed to close out a 4-0 victory over Westwood Tuesday at Lugoff-Elgin.
Brendan Grindstaff and C Brown both went 2-for-3. Grindstaff had a double.
Starting pitcher Kevin Gandy gave up all four runs in the first inning, but pitched six innings of four-hit ball the rest of the way. He struck out four and walked two.
Westwood plays host to Lugoff-Elgin Thursday and plays host to Ridge View Tuesday.
