LUGOFF – The Westwood softball team defeated A.C. Flora 7-4 Friday night but fell 7-0 at Lugoff-Elgin Tuesday.
The Redhawks banged out 11 hits against the Falcons Friday. Azaria Belton homered and had two hits and an RBI. Izzy Ridgeway had two doubles and an RBI. Anna Graves went 2-for-4 with a double.
Makayla Drakeford pitched a complete game, scattering eight hits and striking out 11.
At Lugoff-Elgin Tuesday, Olivia Burroughs got Westwood’s only hit of the evening. Drakeford struck out five, but gave up nine hits. The Demons scored two runs in the fourth inning, one run in the fifth, and four more in the sixth for the win.
Westwood plays host to Lugoff-Elgin Thursday and plays host to Ridge View Tuesday.
