WINNSBORO – Much like their basketball season, the Eagle boys are off to a 7-0 start with a strong offense that has outscored their opponents 67 – 22 in just seven games.
The Eagles picked up their first region win last Friday with an 8-2 defeat of Oconee Christian. On Monday, they scored four runs in the seventh inning to defeated Richland Northeast High 8-5. They followed up Monday’s win with another on Tuesday, this one over Northside Christian with an 8-2 final in eight innings
Jacob Chaisson, Miller Stuck and Lawson Wade each had a pair of hits against Oconee. Chaisson and Stuck doubled in the win. Anthony Armstrong threw six innings for the win. Charlie Bonds came in to close.
Chaisson and Charlie Bonds doubled against Richland Northeast. Wade and Connor Little singled in the win. Caulder got the start on the mound, and threw four innings. Rob Wilson threw three innings and got the win.
Stuck, Chaisson, Wilson, Armstrong and Connor Little all had two hits against Northside. Wilson and Stuck each had a double. Charlie Bonds went 6.1 innings from the mound, but Stuck picked up the win in 1.2 innings of work.
The Eagles travel to Great Falls tonight. They beat the Red Devils 11-1 in five innings in preseason. They’ll host Great Falls on Monday at 6 p.m.
