BLYTHEWOOD – The Blythewood boys basketball team (18-9) fell 74-62 at Byrnes (18-8) Thursday night,
Will Olden led in scoring with 19 points.
West Florence’s last-second shot downed the Westwood boys (12-15) as they fell 49-48 to the Bruins (15-11) Feb. 15.
Arden Conyers made the 4A All-State team, and T.J. Bell made the Region 5-4A All Region team.
The Blythewood girls basketball team (15-14) fell in 66-62 overtime at Byrnes (13-12) Feb. 15.
The Bengals look to return to the court next season with a solid core of athletes, including Freshmen Chase Thomas, India Williams, and Hayley Hightower.
Thomas, who averaged 16.3 points and 10.3 rebounds per game, made the 5A All-State girls roster and was the Region 3-5A Player of the Year. Williams, who averaged 13.4 points and 3.5 assists per game, and Hightower, who averaged 12.1 points and 3.1 assists per game made all region.
