BLYTHEWOOD – Blythewood High School junior Ryan Madison will compete in the 5A wrestling state championships this weekend in Anderson after winning the upper state heavyweight division championship. Madison, who owns a 41-5 record, is the second wrestler in the program’s history to win the upper state championship. He will compete as either a No.1 or No.2 seed.
The Bengals will also send seven girls to the girls state championships.
Westwood sends three wrestlers to compete individually in the 4A brackets, Jayden Brown (37-11), Zion Johnson (33-9) and Andrew Johnson (31-6).
