PELION – Eleven Fairfield Central runners pulled more season best times at last week’s Strictly Running Invitational in Pelion both Griffin teams finished with solid times.
The Griffin boys finished 13th out of 30 teams running. Hank White led Fairfield runners, finishing in 21st place with a season best time of 18:01.45. White placed 22nd out of 376 runners. Rylan Woodard finished second for Fairfield and in 35th place overall with a time of 18:43.56. Sidney Wilson also had a season-best finish at 18:58.18 for 88th place overall. Parker Douglas finished at 20:44.89, and Krishi Patel’s season-best 21:15.65 rounded out the Griffin scores.
Fairfield girls finished in 9th place out of 21 teams competing. Judeah Warren finished in 36th place out of 259 runners with a time of 21:18.18, her season best. Jurnee Warren, Kensley Green and Teairra McDuffie also had season best finishes. Jurnee Warren placed 43rd with a time of 22:35.87; Green finished at 22:44.80 for 46th place; McDuffie finished at 24:21.75 for 90th place. Kendis Green was Fairfield’s fifth score with a time of 26:12.49.
Fairfield runners Chaze Hemphill (25:28.70), Rosalie Rodriquez (29:10.80), Madisyn Johnson (34:54.94), and Keyonna Sampson (35:12.26) also had season best times.
The Griffins are set to compete in the Bob Jenkins SCTCCCA Coaches Classic on Saturday in Newberry.
