BLYTHEWOOD – After opening their season last week with a win at home over White Knoll, Westwood volleyball has had a busy schedule.
The Redhawks dropped a 0-3 match to North Augusta last Thursday, but bounced back with a win over Spring Valley Tuesday night at The Castle.
Westwood took the first set with a decisive 25-12 win and followed with a 25-19 win in the second. Spring Valley rallied in the third set for a 25-21 win, but the Redhawks shut down the Vikings advances in the fourth for a 25-22 win to take the game.
Westwood traveled down Hwy 21 last night to take on Blythewood, but scores were not available at press time. They will host A.C. Flora on Tuesday for their first region action of the season. After that, they’ll travel to Lugoff-Elgin on Thursday.
