BLYTHEWOOD – The Richland County Recreation Commission is hosting a Heroes Field Day on Sunday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m.
This event recognizes and honors local paramedics, law enforcement, firefighters, and military personnel for the difficult work they do every day.
The purpose of the event is to help alleviate the national shortage of first responders through community engagement that will inspire young adults and children to be our heroes of tomorrow.
The event is co-ed and is free to attend.
Co-sponsors for the event are Dreamality Outreach, Columbia Fire Department, Fort Jackson, and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
The event will be held at Blythewood Recreation Park located at 126 Boney Road in Blythewood.
