BLYTHEWOOD – Former Westwood Redhawk and current Tampa Bay Buccaneer Vyncint Smith stopped by The Castle last week to speak with Westwood’s football team.
Smith graduated from Westwood in 2014. In his senior season, he hauled in 31 receptions for 503 yards and four touchdowns. He also competed with the track team, helping lead the team to a 3A region runner-up finish.
Smith played for four seasons at Limestone College, where he set a program single-season record with a career-high 709 receiving yards in his junior season, which he topped with 849 yards in his senior season.
Smith made his NFL debut as a member of the Houston Texans in 2018. He had his first career rushing touchdown as a New York Jet with a 19-yard run against the Philadelphia Eagles. After three seasons with the Jets, Smith was signed to a reserve/future contract with the Buccaneers on January 31, 2022.
