COLUMBIA – Fairfield Central Principal Dr. Tracie Swilley accompanied some Griffin seniors to the Statehouse in Columbia for the first annual College and Career Decision Day on May 4.
Senior attendees paraded down Main Street to the Statehouse grounds where they were welcomed before the Governor and other local dignitaries gave their congratulations to the seniors. After a high school roll call and special senior class recognitions, the students visited college, workforce and military tables to sign banners. The morning ended with a food truck lunch.
“It was HOT,” Swilley tweeted, “but it felt good to celebrate with the Class of 2022!”
